Born and raised in Delft, I'm proud of its beautiful city centre, Delftware and its history. I secretly dream of living in a grand townhouse on the canal one day, which would enable me to enjoy a wonderful piece of history. I can see it now: reading a book while sitting in a large armchair next to a large open fireplace with a portrait of one of my ancestor's hanging above...

Until then, I'm happy with the beautiful marble stairs, high ceilings and beautiful old floors of the building in which Bijl has been located since the start of 2009. It's an inspirational and surprising building! It suits Bijl perfectly! Working at Bijl inspires me to take on challenges, make the most of my creativity and think outside of the box. When I started working as a consultant at Bijl in 2008, I felt at home straight away.

I really enjoy a good wine while sitting next to a crackling fire. On cold days, I can often be found in front of my open fire with a book and a glass of my favourite wine. In the summer, the setting changes - our back garden - where I can enjoy twilight, warmed by the heat of the garden stove. One of my favourite places to enjoy wine is France, which is why an annual summer trip to the French vineyards is a must.
