Bijl, partners in public relations

The implementing body of the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management manages and develops the national infrastructure networks, working on behalf of all residents to prevent flooding, ensure sufficient supplies of clean water, secure smooth and safe transport across roads and waterways and provide reliable and usable information. In this role, it works in ever closer collaboration with other network administrators, primarily in busy, metropolitan areas, but also in an international context.

Bijl manages communication activities aimed at residents with regard to various construction, management and maintenance projects (known in Dutch as ABO projects). Bijl is also responsible for advising on, producing and implementing various means of communication, including advertisements, information letters and invitations, printed and digital newsletters, website texts and information meetings.
